Navratri Special
The festival of Navratri (nav=nine & ratri=nights) is an important major festival celebrated with great zeal all over India. During these nine nights & ten days nine forms of Shakti/Devi Durga are worshiped. The tenth day is commonly referred to as "Vijayadashami" or "Dussehra".
People observe fast on all the nine days of the festival. They do not eat food. It does not mean that the people who fast go completely without food. Different varieties & special dishes are made during Navratri celebration.
