Amla Pickle Instant
(Indian Gooseberry)
Amla pickle is a spicy, tangy & popular pickle in India. Amla is packed with vitamin C & very good for health. Amla pickle is one of the easiest & instant pickle recipe.
In this recipe amla is boiled (to reduce the bitterness of amla) & spiced with red chili, fennel seeds, mustard powder, fenugreek seeds, turmeric powder, salt & mustard oil.
Ingredients:
200 gms amla (gooseberry)
1 tbsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp mustard oil
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1 tbsp fennel seeds
1 tbsp mustard powder
1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
Water as required
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Wash & boil amla in enough water till soft.
2. Now cut amla in small pieces,deseed them & keep aside to dry.
3. Grind fenugreek seeds & fennel seeds to coarse powder.
4. Add mustard powder,feneel seeds powder,fenugreek seeds powder,red chili
powder, salt, turmeric powder, asafoetida & mix well.

5. Add amla to the spices mixture & mix well.
6. Transfer this to a sterilized jar.
7. Now add mustard oil to the pickle & mix it well. Pickle is ready
8. Store amla pickle in a refrigerator & used for 15-20 days.
