Methi Mutter Malai
( Fenugreek,Green peas & Cream)
Methi Malai Mater is a rich & flavorful dish. it is a very popular North Indian speciality whose taste surprises your taste buds.
A delightful combination of methi, green peas, cream & Indian spices. This dish has nice, rich, creamy texture & is very aromatic with the use of fresh methi leaves.
This dish very easy to cook....so lets start !!!
Ingredients:
2 cup methi (fenugreek leaves)
3/4 cup mutter (green peas)
1 large onion chopped
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp green chili paste
1/2 tsp dry mango powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 cup fresh cream
5-6 cloves
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Clean, wash & chop methi leaves.
2. Wash & drain green peas.
3. Blanch methi leaves in the boiling water & refresh with the cold running water.
4. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions & cook till they are translucent.
5. Add ginger-garlic, green chili paste, clove & continue to stir for a minute more.
6. Add methi leaves & stir.
7. Add green peas. Cook for 3-4 mins.
8. Add dry mango powder, cinnamon powder, salt & mix well.
9. Cook for 2-3 mins.
10. Turn it in serving dish & garnish with fresh cream & serve.
