Rava Laddu
(Semolina Laddu)
Rava laddu is a delicious, melt in mouth & very popular sweet made specially for Diwali festival. It is a recipe which can be easy to make & takes very less time to prepare.
Rava Laddu is a delicacy that is made from semolina, coconut, sugar, ghee & dry fruits. These laddus are a traditional sweet. It's nutritious, tasty & a yum treat.
It is a dish perfect to make when time is short but you still want a special dessert.
Ingredients:
1 cup rava (semolina)
3/4 cup powered sugar
1/4 cup ghee melted
1/2 cup dry grated coconut
1 tsp cardamom powder
4-5 cashew nuts chopped
4-5 almond chopped
4-5 pistachio chopped
Milk as required
Method:
1. Heat ghee in a small pan on low heat, roast dry fruits. Turn off heat & keep it aside.
2. Add grated coconut, roast for a few mins.
3. Heat ghee in a pan, add rava, roast over low heat till it changes color to light golden &
aroma starts coming out. Switch off the flame. It is important to roast rava on low heat &
stirring continuously.
4. Transfer the rava to a bowl, add sugar, cardamom powder, coconut, almond, cashew nut,
pistachio & mix well.
5. Now take a small portion of mix, shape it into round ball. If you are unable to shape it, add
milk little by little, keep mixing it & when you are able to make laddus, stop adding milk.
6. Divide mixture into equal parts, make laddus out of it.
7. Garnish with almond & pistachio.
8. Rava Laddus are ready to serve.
