Dal Panchratan
Ingredients:
1/2 cup toovar dal
1/4 cup moong dal
1/4 cup urad dal
1/4 cup masoor dal
1/4 cup chana dal
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2-3 chopped tomatoes
1 onion chopped
1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
2 tsp ghee
Salt to taste
Method:
1.Clean, wash & pressure cook with enough water.
2. Heat ghee in a pan & add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, when seeds crackle,
add onions & saute till they turn transparent.

3. Now add tomatoes, mix well & saute for 2 mins.
4. Add red chili powder, coriander powder,turmeric powder , salt, mix well &
cook for 1-2 mins.
cook for 1-2 mins.
5.Now add cooked dal & water as required & let it cook till it boils.
6. Transfer into serving bowl, garnish with fresh coriander leaves & serve hot.
