Coconut Burfi is a classic & traditional recipe of an Indian sweet that is prepared during festivals & special occasions like Diwali. It is a simple yet tasty sweet which can be made easily at home.





The coconut powder mixed with sugar & ghee, blended together in the burfi. So sweeten up your Diwali with this tasty & healthy dish.



Coconut Burfi



Ingredients:


1 cup grated coconut

3/4 cup sugar 

2 tsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder 
10-12 strends of saffron soaked in milk
4-5 almond

Method:


1. Heat ghee in a pan. Now add coconut powder, sugar, Simmer & keep on stirring so
    that the mixture does not stick to the bottom of the pan.

2. Coconut burfi mixture will start thicken slowly.Add cardamom powder, saffron & mix well.

3. Cook it till coconut mixture starts leaving sides of the pan.

4. Pour coconut mixture in a greased tray & garnish with almond.

5. When it cools cut it into square or in shape as per your choice.

6. Coconut burfi is ready for Diwali.
