Cashew Nut Chikki


Chikki is a traditional Indian sweet originated in the area of Maharashtra.
Chikki is a combination of nuts, butter or ghee, and sugar/jaggery. There 
are several varieties of chikki like peanut chikki, mix dry fruit chikki, til chikki,
cashew nut chikki, chocolate chikki etc. 

Cashew Nut Chikki is a popular one. preparing Cashew Nut Chikki at home
is very easy & quick. You just need cashew nut, sugar & cardamom powder.
In minutes chikki will be ready.


Ingredients:


1 cup cashew nut halves
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder


Method:


1. Heat a pan, add ghee, sugar & cook on a low flame till sugar melts,
    while stirring continuously.

2. Remove melted sugar from flame, add the cashew nuts, cardamom powder
    & mix well.

3. Transfer the mixture on a greased surface.

4. Roll the mixture in a circle using a greased rolling pin. 

5. Immediately cut it into equal square pieces using a knife.

6. Allow it to cool.

7. Break into pieces, store in air tight container.

8. You can use cashew nut chikki for 1-2 months.
