Onion Tomato Chutney is a recipe with less ingredients & it taste fabulous. It has a bit of sweetness & spicy also. This tasty & flavorful onion tomato chutney goes well with all snacks/breakfast items.


Onion Tomato Chutney


Onion Tomato Chutney is very versatile, easy, quick to prepare & a delight to have. Tomato, onion & spices are used as main ingredients which are easily available in your kitchen.


Onion Tomato Chutney


Ingredients:



1 onion medium size
3-4 tomatoes
1/2 tsp red chili powder
A pinch of asafoetida
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
4-5 curry leaves
1 tsp oil
1 tsp sugar
Water as required
Salt to taste

Method:


1. blanch tomatoes in hot water, peal & chop them roughly.

2. Make a fine paste of onion.

3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when crackle, add curry leaves,
    onion paste, cook it for some time.

4. Now add red chili powder, asafoetida and roughly chopped tomato.

5.  Add salt, sugar & water as required mix well .

6. Cook on medium flame for 4-5 mins or until the chutney gets the desired
    consistency.

7. Serve with any breakfast or snack dish.
