Moongdal Halwa


1 cup  moong dal 

200 gms ghee 

1 cup sugar 

3 cup water

1/4 tsp cardamom powder
5-6 cashew nut chopped 
5-6 almond chopped
5-6 pistachio chopped
4-5 Currants


1. Soak moong dal overnight, grind it. Heat ghee in a pan & put the moong dal in it.

2. Saute on low flame till dal turns golden brown & leaves a distinct aroma. 

3. Add water & stir  till halwa  thickens.

4. Put sugar & cook on a low flame  till they are thoroughly incorporated & stir ghee
    separates. Add cardamom powder, almond, cashew nut, pistachio,currant & mix

5. Remove it from  flame & garnish it with chopped almond & serve hot.
