(Vermicelli)

Sevai Upma


Ingredients:



2 cups sevai(vermicelli)
1/4 cup chopped carrots
1/4 cup green peas
1/2 cup onion chopped
3-4 curry leaves
2-3 green chilies 
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp asafoetida
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste


Method:


1. Boil the carrots & peas. 

2. Heat oil in frying pan, add mustard seeds & allow it to crackle.

3. Add onion, ginger paste, curry leaves, green chiles & sauté till onion turns golden brown.

4. Add asafoetida, salt, savai, carrot, beans & sauté for a few more minutes on medium heat.

5. Add 1 cup of water; stir & cook it , until you see the water has been absorbed & sevai
    is cooked

6. Turn off heat.Add lemon juice & stir. close for a few more minutes.

7. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
