Ingredients:
1 cup urad dal
1 onion finely chopped
1 clove garlic sliced
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
3-4 curry leaves
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Wash dal & soak for around 2 hours.
2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds,cumin seeds when they crackle add onion,
garlic cook till onion turns brown.

3. Now add curry leaves,turmeric powder,red chili powder & mix well.
4. Add dal, salt & garam masala, lid the pan for 8-10 mins.
5. Switch off the heat dal is ready to serve.
