Gobhi With Chana Dal
Ingredients:
1 medium size gobhi (cabbage)
1/4 cup chana dal (bengal gram split)
1/2 tsp ginger chopped
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
10-12 curry leaves
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Clean, wash & soak chana dal in one cup of water for half an hour. Drain & boil it in
one cup of water till just done. Drain & keep aside.

2. Wash & chop cabbage. Wash & pat dry curry leaves.
3. Heat oil. Add mustard seeds.When the seeds crackle add , curry leaves ginger.
4. Now add red chili powder,turmeric powder,garam masala powder. Sauté for a minute.
5. Add cabbage,salt & cook until soft. Add boiled chana dal,let it cook for 2 mins.
6. Gobhi with chana dal is ready to serve.
