Aloo Mutter Kulcha
(Potato Peas)

Aloo Mutter Kulcha



ingredients:


2 cups maida (fine flour)
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup yogurt (curd)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp nigella seeds
2 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste


For aloo mutter masala:


2 potatoes boiled & smashed
1/2 cup green peas
1 onion big & chopped
1 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp oriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
2 tsp coriander leaves chopped
1/2 tsp fennel seeds
Oil as required
Salt to taste

Method:


1. Heat oil, fry the fennel seeds, add onion, salt, saute it until the onions turns translucent.

2. Now add the green peas, chilly powder, coriander powder & garam masala, cook everything
    until 
veggies get half cooked.

3. Add the potatoes, saute everything for few minutes. Finally add the coriander leaves.

4. Keep aside, let it cool, make 6-8 medium sized balls of this masala..

5. Meanwhile make the dough for kulchas, combine all the ingredients except the oil & nigella
    seeds.

6. Make a smooth, soft dough, keep aside for an hour.

7. Knead the dough again, make 6-8medium sized balls. Flatten the ball with a rolling pin.

9. Gently place the already prepared masala ball, cover the stuffing with the dough, roll it into
    thick circle of about 6 inch in diameter. B
rush the kulchas with oil, sprinkle the nigella seeds.

10. Heat a griddle, place Kulcha on griddle & cook on both the sides till it’s cooked & brown
      spots starts to appear on top. Apply little ghee/oil if desired.

11. Enjoy with any sort of side dishes.
