For the Muthiya:

1 cup wheat flour
1/4 cup gram flour
1/4 cup millet flour
1/4 cup maize flour
1 big bunch fenugreek leaves chopped finely
1/2 tsp ginger & garlic paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp green chili paste
2 tsp oil
Water as required

Salt to taste

Other ingredients:

1 tbsp Oil
2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4  tsp asafoetida
1/2 tsp sesame seeds


1. Mix together all  ingredients for muthiya & make a smooth dough by
    adding enough water.

2. Divide dough in 10-14 equal portion & make muthiyas out of it.

3. Place muthiya on a greased plate, leaving enough space between
one of them.

4. Steam them for 15-20 mins. 

5. Remove muthiyas & cut them into small round pieces.

6. Heat oil in a pan & add  mustard seeds,cumin seeds, asafoetida.

7. When seeds crackle add sesame seeds, & pour this over muthiyas.

8. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
