Onion Pakoda


1/2 cup gram flour
2 small onions (thinly sliced) 
1-2 green chilies finely chopped
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tbsp rice flour
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp coriander powder 
Oil for frying 
Water as required
Salt to taste


1. Combine all ingredients except oil  in a bowl.

2. Make a batter by adding enough water.

3. Heat  oil in a kadhai & drop a little  batter to form pakodas.

4. Deep fry till they turn golden brown & crisp from all sides.

5. Repeat same  process with  remaining batter. 

6. Drain on absorbent paper.

7. Serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
