Palak Pakoda
(Spinach pakoda)
Ingredients:
1 cup gram flour (besan)
1/2 tbsp rice flour
1 bunch spinach finely chopped
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tbsp hot oil
2-3 finely chopped green chilies
Water as required
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste

1 bunch spinach finely chopped
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tbsp hot oil
2-3 finely chopped green chilies
Water as required
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Mix all the above ingredients & 1 tbsp hot oil.
2. Add very little water & mix, batter should just coat spinach leaves.
3. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan.
4. Once oil is hot, reduce flame to medium, drop a little mixture of batter to form fritters.
5. Deep fry pakodas till golden brown.
6. Drain out pakodas on an absorbent paper.

7. Serve palak pakoda hot with green chutney/tomato sauce.
