Chole Paneer
( Gram & Cottage Cheese )
Ingredients:
1 cup kabuli channa
250 gms paneer cubbed
1 big onion chopped
2 tomatoes chopped
3/4 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp garlic-ginger paste
1 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp channa masala
1 tbsp coriander leaves
Oil as required
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Soak channa in water overnight.
2. Pressure cook the soaked channa adding salt.
3. Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan & stir fry paneer cubes till it turns golden
brown at the edges.

4. Drain & keep aside. In the same pan heat 1 tsp oil at medium heat, &
splutter mustard seeds.

5. Add chopped onions & saute till brown.
6. Add ginger garlic paste, mix well & saute for some time. Add tomato,
cook for few minutes.

7. Add chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, channa masala,
salt & saute for few seconds until the raw smell of spices go.

8. Add water, bring this to a boil. Now add cooked channa, reduce the
heat & cook till gravy has turned thick.

9. Add fried paneer cubes & cook for few more minutes.
10. Remove from heat. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
11. Serve hot with naan/roti.
