Badam Ka Halwa

Badam Ka Halwa
(Almond)





Ingredients:


1/2 cup almonds 

1/3 cup milk

4 tbsp sugar

1/4 tsp cardamom  powder

3 tbsp ghee

Water as required



For the garnish :

2-3 almonds, peeled & sliced

Method:


1. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over almonds. Leave aside for 5 minutes.

 2. Drain & remove skins of almonds. Purée almonds with 4 tbsp of milk to a
     smooth paste in a blender.

3. Heat ghee in a  kadhai, add almond purée. 

4. Cook over a slow flame while stirring continuously till mixture turns golden brown 

5. Boil together remaining milk with 4 tbsp of water, add to almond mixture &  
    cook for 2-3 minutes.

6. Add sugar, cardamom powder & cook till sugar has dissolved, while stirring
    continuously.

7. Garnished with almonds & serve hot.

  1. Yum, I can't resist halwa though I am aware of the extra calories. That said, a small serving of this delish will be a perfect closing for my meals.
