Paneer Makhana Curry

Ingredients:
250 gms paneer (cottage cheese) cubbed
2 cup makhana
1-2 onion chopped
1 tbsp cashew nut paste
2 tbsp fresh cream
1 cup tomato puree
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
2 tbsp clarified butter
Water as required
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Heat clarified butter in a pan. Fry makhana in it.
2. Soak poppy seeds in water for 1 hour.
3. Make a fine paste of soaked poppy seeds.
4. Now heat clarified butter in a pan. Add mustard seed,cumin
seeds let it crackle add onion, ginger garlic paste & cook it till
become light brown.

5. Add poppy seeds paste,cashew nut paste & tomato puree stir
it till clarified butter separates.

6. Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder,coriander powder
& saute for 2-3 mins.
& saute for 2-3 mins.
7. Add water,paneer,garam masala & let it come to boil & cook
for 2-3 mins.

8. Now add makhana,fresh cream , mix well & remove it from heat.
9. Transfer it to a serving dish & garnish with coriander leaves.
10. Serve hot .
